Catholic School Council

The St. Jude Catholic School Council is an advisory group made up of parents and staff. The council is a vital part of our school community. The purpose of a Catholic School Council, through the active participation of parents, is to improve pupil achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education process to parents.

St. Jude Catholic School is blessed to have a welcoming and productive Catholic School Council, focussed on student well being and academic achievement. The group meets 4 times a year, with meetings being roughly an hour in length and social media being a key method of communication. There is perhaps no better way for a parent to truly understand how a school functions, what effective support of students looks like and the amazing things that can happen when parents work together on behalf of children.  Our first meeting of the year, which includes elections will be held on Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m.  There is a great understanding that a parent may not be able to attend every meeting.  Please come and check out the St. Jude Catholic School Council.  They are a remarkable group so happy to welcome new parents to the team!

Our Catholic School Council provides advice and support to the principal, and where appropriate, to senior administrative staff and the Board of Trustees on education matters. The advice should reflect the views of the school community.
